Exterior Wing Sang Gallery On East Pender Street, Vancouver

FREE & SPECTACULAR | Vancouver real estate marketing mogul Bob Rennie’s private art gallery in the Wing Sang Building on East Pender Street has been open to the public just over two years now. I had been putting off seeing it for a completely irrational reason—you need to sign up in advance to get in. Lucky for me, friends added my name to their group of four planning a visit, and we all went for a free one-hour guided tour last week.

What a treat, and not just because the Damian Moppett show on view is provocative—the art is only one part of what makes this place a must see—but because the Wing Sang building itself is absolutely fascinating. Walter Francl’s renovation of the Wing Sang, the oldest building in Chinatown (actually the project consists of two buildings, one behind the other) is cool enough for architecture hipsters, sensitive enough for preservation buffs and a dead easy visual read for anyone remotely intrigued with local history or culture.

Another great thing about visiting the Wing Sang is that the art intern who shows you around explains the significance of and meaning behind the art you’re looking at, and she also answers questions about the renovation and how the two buildings were used back in 1901 when the project was first completed (construction began in 1889).

A free tour of the Wing Sang really should be on everyone’s Things-To-Do-In-Vancouver list.—Olivia Pittman

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin
