We love this Ikea 365+ three-tier glass n’ stainless serving platter. The plates are detachable, which means you can combine and vary the height as you like; also, they have raised sides to keep foods in place. Suitable for serving everything from sweets, and fruits to shellfish. $9. 99, at IKEA.
The ultimate in practicality, this Selene by The Cellar glass cake stand is three individual glass cake stands that can be mixed or match as you please. $43 at Macy’s. (Watch for sales; we found ours in the store for just $24)
If pretty-pretty is your thing, the Royal Albert New Country Roses three-tier “formal vintage” cake stand made of fine bone china will be what you need. Youthful and exuberant, this pattern features red roses and green leaves on a white background. $69.90, at Bed Bath & Beyond.
Elegant and modern looking, Maxwell and Williams Monaco cake stands are executed in quality porcelain. They come two-tiered or three-tiered versions, and in a variety of sizes. $15 to $44, at The Bay.
